DS (b. 1994), also known as Jony Makalova and SYVOD, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Zurich. Working across tattooing, graphic design, visual art, and sculpture, he explores alternative visual languages through abstract imagery, typography, research, and experimentation.
His work moves between commissioned and self-initiated projects, informed by contemporary culture, music, fashion, and ongoing artistic investigation. He studied Visual Communication at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), co-founded the transdisciplinary studio space Attempt, and currently works independently on projects across Europe and beyond.
